He’s going to leave his audience with some assignments.
On Monday your goal is to impress three people.
Consider your experience of Monday over the next three days
On Friday your goal is to be impressed by three people.
Next week for Monday your goal is to inspire three people to believe in you.
On Friday your goal is to inspire three people to believe in themselves.
Ask yourself, was I the kind of person I would want to follow on Monday?
Or was I the kind of person I would want to follow on Friday?
What are skills you used on Monday versus the skills you used on Friday?
Speaking versus listening. Persuading versus understanding.
Using versus serving.
Ask yourself did I feel more like the leader I want to be on Monday
or did I feel more like the leader I want to be on Friday?
Why are there so many Monday leaders and not enough Friday leaders.
Because it takes more effort to be a Friday leader. It’s a longer road.
People will tell you that telling the difference between
a leader with character and one who lacks character is difficult.
I believe it is not. It is as obvious as knowing Mondays from Fridays.
We cannot start out perfect but we can all start by trying to fill out
our week with more Fridays in it than Mondays.
Someday we will have a week of Fridays, then a month, maybe even a year of Fridays.
Jesus had a lifetime of Fridays. He is the leader by which all leaders will be judged.
Today is Monday. Can we live it like it is Friday? Be impressed by other people. Inspire other people to believe in themselves. Live and lead like Jesus.
