Monday Musings – May 29, 2012

Dear Friends,

I hope you enjoyed your Monday.  Helen and I did projects around the house all day, me in the yard and Helen in the garage.  Yard looks great, garage looks worse than it did before, but she actually got more done than I did. The first step was for her to go through boxes only she can go through.  I’m proud of her for doing it because I know she hates it. The next step will be to get organized and that’s something I really enjoy.  Enough about us!
This is Lisa Wink’s last week in the office.  We’re going to miss Lisa.  I sure will.  I marvel at how God seems to provide just the right person that a church needs at just the right time.  I’ve seen this happen over and over again.  What a gift to our church Lisa and her family have been!  I know you will want to pack our fellowship hall this Sunday, June 3 at 10 am for her farewell.  I was looking through a book just this morning given to me by a dear friend at my farewell at a previous church.  I want to share with you the verse the book opened to.  I think it was meant to be.  “A faithful employee is as refreshing as a cool day in the hot summertime!” (Proverbs 25:13)
God provided Lisa at a time when this church was in great need of a person just like her.  I’m confident God has done it again!  I hope you have a chance to meet Carol Ogren soon and to welcome her to our church.
In Christ, Pastor John Watts
