We all know that deeds are more important than words. Words are cheap. It’s results that matter. We are a results oriented society. We live by the Golden Rule of Nike… “Just Do It!”….
Where did we get this idea? We got it from the Bible. Check out Micah 6:8, Matthew 7:16,20 and Matthew 21:31… It’s not the words but the deeds that matter.
But words matter, too. Elie Wiesel said, “Words can sometimes, in moments of grace, attain the quality of deeds.” There are spouses… sons and daughters…parents…who can’t recall a single time when they heard the words “I love you”…Sometimes words speak louder than actions… words can be cheap. Words can be priceless. Who needs to hear those three little words from you today, “I Love You”?
