Whenever a church has more than one worship service, one of the regrets is that the whole church is seldom together in the same place, at the same time. This coming Sunday, November 11, I am looking forward to having our whole church together! The occasion is Consecration Sunday. We are holding one worship service at 10:30 am. It will be a blend of the styles of our two morning services, lots of music, a celebrative tone throughout, and Steve Tollefson bringing a dynamic message to share with us. Steve will conclude his message by leading us, as an act of worship, in dedicating to God the cards we will be invited to fill out Sunday morning, estimating our giving to God through our church in the coming year. Then we will move to the fellowship hall to share in a meal with our one big church family. This will not be a potluck. There will not be a basket for donations. There is no charge for this meal. It is a gift from our church. Have you made your reservation yet? If you filled out a card in worship the last two Sundays, great. If not, we care enough that no one be left out that we will be contacting you this week to see if we can add you to our growing reservation list. You can help by calling the church office to let us know whether or not you plan to attend. That will save one of our visitors from needing to visit you. You can also help by encouraging friends you perhaps haven’t seen around church in a while to be with us Sunday. Again, phone the church office so we can keep our reservation list updated. Looking forward to having all of us together on Consecration Sunday!
